Hoosier soldier turns to UFC fighting to combat PTSD

An Indiana National Guard member has found a unique way to deal with PTSD.

Garett Whiteley is now a professional UFC fighter.

The Indianapolis soldier started training as a fighter in 2006 as a way to alleviate PTSD problems from his deployment.

Whiteley made his UFC debut Wednesday in Sao Paulo, Brazil against Alan Patrick. While Patrick won the fight, whitely still has a record of 7-1.
